The main body of a spherical LPG storage tank is a spherical shell, which is the component that stores materials and withstands the working pressure of the materials and the static pressure of the liquid column. It is assembled and welded from many pre-pressed spherical panels of specific dimensions. The tank support is a structural component used to support the weight of the tank body and the stored materials. It can be divided into two main categories: column supports and spherical supports. The most common type used is the equatorial tangential column support.
