How a Skid Station Works
Storage
Bulk fuel is stored in an integrated above-ground storage tank mounted on the skid.
Transfer
An unloading pump or compressor safely transfers the fuel between supply tankers and the storage tank.
Dispensing
When refueling is required, the pump transfers fuel from the storage tank through the flow meter and dispenses it via the nozzle.
Safety
The integrated control system includes emergency shut-off valves, video surveillance, and automatic fire suppression systems.
